Problems peculiar to federal practice.  The course focuses on jurisdictional prerequisites (federal question, diversity of citizenship), removal, abstention, limitations on the power of federal courts to issue injunctions, and the authority of federal courts to issue writs of habeas corpus.

This elective course is normally offered every year.
