General Counsel for the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission
Kenya Jenkins-Wright is the General Counsel for the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission. She previously worked as an attorney for Greene and Letts, Chicago, Illinois, working with tort litigation defense, employment law and civil procedure. Before joining Greene and Letts, Ms. Jenkins-Wright worked for Hinshaw & Culbertson, Rockford, Illinois. Ms. Jenkins-Wright gained bar admission in Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois.
Ms. Jenkins-Wright is a member of the Chicago, Cook County, and Illinois State Bar Associations, and the Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago, Inc. Ms. Jenkins-Wright won the Women’s Bar Foundation Award in the fall of 2002.
Ms. Jenkins-Wright received a B.A. in Communications from Valparaiso University in 2000 and a J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2003.
