DeKalb Township Supervisor
Eric Johnson was appointed DeKalb Township Supervisor on December 8, 2010. Since his appointment Eric has been actively searching for ways the township can be more efficient while expanding high quality, cost effective services, to the residents of DeKalb Township. Through his work with the township Eric has become an active member of the DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation, Networking for Families, and Senior Services Providers. He has also been appointed by the DeKalb County Board to the General Assistance Appeals Board and the DeKalb County Community Services Administrative Board.
While a student at Northern Illinois College of Law Eric served as President of the Student Bar Association. Eric was honored at commencement by not only being selected, by his classmates, to serve as graduation speaker, but also received awards for Outstanding Contribution to the College of Law Community and the Hellene and Edward Fioretti Award for academic achievement in Professional Responsibility and Legal Ethics.
Eric received a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University in 2005 and his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University’s College of Law in 2010. He is also an alumnus of the NIU College of Law Agen, France Program; a study abroad program that focuses on European Union Law and the French Legal System. Eric and his wife Jennifer reside in the city of DeKalb with their son Benjamin.
