Biography

Andrew is employed as the CFO and Compliance Attorney of Bates Financial Group, Inc., and its affiliates, in Rockford, Illinois. His duties include all aspects of operation, financing, and regulatory compliance of Bates Securities, Inc., a securities broker/dealer, and Bates Financial Advisors, Inc., a registered investment advisory firm. Andrew is licensed as a general securities representative (series 7), an investment advisor representative (series 66), a general securities principal (series 24), a financial and operations principal (series 27), a municipal principal (series 53), and an operations principal (series 99).

Prior to his employment with Bates Financial Group, Inc., Andrew was Deputy of Operations for Chief Justice Thomas Kilbride's successful retention effort for the Illinois Supreme Court and Treasurer for John Acardo's successful election effort for DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder.

While at the College of Law, Andrew was Vice-President of the Federalist Society, attending the annual conference in 2009, and Treasurer of the Student Bar Association. Along with Eric Johnson, he was the primary force behind the roast of Professor Dan Reynolds. Upon graduation, Andrew was selected by his classmates to act as the Agent for the Class of 2010.

Andrew graduated from NIU Law in 2010 with his juris doctorate and from Bradley University in 2006 with a degree in accounting. He resides in Mount Morris, Illinois.
