John S. Monical is a partner with the law firm of Lawrence Kamin Saunders & Uhlenhop, LLC. Lawrence Kamin represents businesses, manufacturers, and financial service industry clients in a broad range of transactional and litigation matters. Mr. Monical concentrates on commercial and product liability litigation. Among other things, Mr. Monical defends broker-dealers and investment-advisors in litigation and in arbitration matters before the New York Stock Exchange and the National Association of Securities Dealers. He also defends nationally known manufacturers in serious injury and wrongful death product liability litigation.
Mr. Monical is an alumnus of the Northern Illinois University College of Law and was a member of its distinguished Law Review. Mr. Monical graduated magna cum laude and second in his class in 1994. In 2004, Mr. Monical was presented with Northern Illinois College of Law's Young Alumni of the Year Award. Prior to law school, Mr. Monical earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana.

Mr. Monical is a member of the Illinois bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associtions, the Defense Research Institute, and the Securities Industry Association.
