Center for Latino and Latin American Studies’ 
Latino Scholarship

The scholarship is a $500.00 award for undergraduate students of Latino origin. Applications are issued every spring semester.  The scholarship winner is announced before the end of the spring semester.  The award will be made during the following fall semester. 

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply, an interested student must complete and submit a two-page, double-space statement of career goals, current transcripts, and contact information, as well as:

• Be a Latino (defined as a person with at least one parent of Hispanic origin).
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or better in applicant’s major field.
• Demonstrate satisfactory progress towards graduation.
