SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science)


A society of scientists dedicated to increase the success and expand opportunities for Hispanic/Chicano and Native American in science-related fields—from college students to professionals—to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership. 

Northern Illinois University's Chapter Goals: -Increase support for minority and underrepresented students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math-Develop relationships with faculty to help encourage minority and underrepresented students to pursue higher education-Keep students engaged in their major and become engaged or continue to be engaged in research.
