- Get access to WebCRMA by filling out the Computer Access Request form. In the WebCRMA Access section check the 'WebCRMA Professional/Personal Access' option.
In the text area write your choice for an alias. Your webpages can be accessed by linking to www.niu.edu/~youralias. For example if your name is John Brown then you might choose jbrown as the alias. Your pages would be accessible as www.niu.edu/~jbrown (This assumes your home page is index.html or index.shtml).
Upon submission the form will prompt for the e-mail of the department chair or manager. When you enter that e-mail and click Submit, the form will be e-mailed to the department chair or manager. That person must then REPLY to the e-mail. The REPLY is accepted as the electronic signature that verifies the form and via the reply is sent to the ITS Access Control area for setup.
- That's it! Then you are notified. Completion of your request for access to the web hosting environment for a professional/personal website will be acknowledged via e-mail within 2 business days.
*Note* Personal and professional pages cannot be used for non-NIU affiliated personal gain. Use of personal and professional pages to host organization websites that are non-NIU affiliated is forbidden.
