Troubleshoot your Blackberry® 

  • No matter what the problem is, take out the battery. Wait at least 15 seconds before putting it back in. This reboots the Blackberry® and corrects many problems.
  • If your GroupWise calendar isn't working correctly, 
    1. Open the calendar. 
    2. Press the Blackberry® menu key and choose Options. 
    3. Highlight Desktop. 
    4. Type rset (you won't see the letters). 
    5. "This will erase your Desktop calendar and reload it from your server. Continue?" Choose Yes. All of your calendar information will be restored.
  • If you call the Helpdesk, know what Blackberry® model you have. Choose Options > About.

Keep your Blackberry® up to date

  • Update your cell tower roaming list, especially before you travel. Dial *228 and press Send. Choose option 2.
  • Update your OS. Press the Blackberry® menu key and choose Options > Advanced > Wireless Updates. This takes about 2 hours.
