Disable File Sharing in Grokster
First, open Grokster by double-clicking on the Grokster icon. Select the "Tools" menu, and then "Options." Click on the "Traffic" tab located at the top. Check "Disable sharing of files with other Grokster members." File sharing in Grokster has now been disabled. Click "Ok" to save the changes to your settings.
The Grokster icon will still be in your taskbar near the clock. Grokster is still running in the background and any previously started file transfers will continue running. To close the program completely, right-click on the Grokster icon, then choose "Close Grokster."
To prevent Grokster from loading when your computer boots up, you must disable the "auto start" feature within the program. To do this, open Grokster, click on "Tools" and then "Options." Next, click on the "User" tab and uncheck "Launch Grokster automatically." Click "Ok" to save your settings. The program will no longer load upon system startup.
