POP Server Information for Student NetMail and GroupWise users

You can use the Post Office Protocol (POP) to send and receive e-mails from student NetMail or GroupWise using the mail client of your choice.  ITS cannot support the configuration of all POP mail clients.  Here are the server names you will need to POP your mail to the client you choose:

Student NetMail users:

• POP Server: mail.students.niu.edu
• SMTP Server: smtp.students.niu.edu

GroupWise users:

• POP Server: mail.staff.niu.edu
• SMTP Server: smtp.staff.niu.edu
