Get your NIU e-mail on your phone

Students, faculty and staff can get NIU e-mail on a mobile device with a full-featured POP3 or IMAP e-mail client.

ITS offers best-effort support only.

In general, POP and IMAP are "non-secure" e-mail transfers from your NIU mailbox to the device.

When you delete mail using IMAP, mail is deleted from your mobile device and your NIU mailbox. When you delete mail using POP3, mail is deleted from your mobile device only.

ITS recommends using NIU e-mail applications and systems whenever possible. They are the most secure, reliable, and have the best level of support.
