Connect a device to Mobility Connector for current NIU employees

You must register first

Go to  E-mail Services > GroupWise Mobility form

Connect within 10 days of your confirmation e-mail or your Mobility Connector registration will be canceled.

Once you register a device with Mobility Connector, you don't need to register again when you change devices or get a new device.

Settings for Mobility Connector

Go to Settings > Accounts (Mail, Contacts and Calendars on Apple devices) > New Account

Choose one of the following, depending on your device:

• Apple: Microsoft Exchange
• Droid: Corporate Sync
• Palm: Exchange (EAS)

If you registered on or after April 8, 2013

E-Mail: your NIU e-mail address (ex. Jdoe@niu.edu)

Server: vm-mobility4.niu.edu

Domain:

• iPhone - leave this field blank
• Droids - you will see Domain/Username; put only your AccountID here
• Windows Mobile - vm-mobility4.niu.edu

Username: Your AccountID. If you have more than one AccountID, use the ID you use for e-mail.

Password: Your NIU password

Make sure you have SSL or Secure turned on or checked.

Hit OK or Next

If you registered on or after July 16, 2012

E-Mail: your NIU e-mail address (ex. Jdoe@niu.edu)

Server: vm-mobility3.niu.edu

Domain:

• iPhone - leave this field blank
• Droids - you will see Domain/Username; put only your AccountID here
• Windows Mobile - vm-mobility3.niu.edu

Username: Your AccountID. If you have more than one AccountID, use the ID you use for e-mail.

Password: Your NIU password

Make sure you have SSL or Secure turned on or checked.

Hit OK or Next

If you registered on or after June 21, 2011

E-Mail: your NIU e-mail address (ex. Jdoe@niu.edu)

Server: vm-mobility2.niu.edu

Domain:

• iPhone - leave this field blank
• Droids - you will see Domain/Username; put only your AccountID here
• Windows Mobile - vm-mobility2.niu.edu
