Your NIU network password expires every 130 days. When you change your password, change it on your device at the same time.
It is very likely that your phone checks for e-mail frequently. It will fail when the old/incorrect password is used. Five failed attempts will lock your NIU network account (resources accessed by your network account).
GroupWise lockouts release after approximately 30 minutes as long as no further invalid attempts take place.
Stop the e-mail application from accessing your GroupWise account.
Contact your service provider for assistance with changing the password.
If still unable to resolve this issue, bring the phone to the ITS Contact Center. The ITS Contact Center is located at TS 114 (southwest corner of the Health Services and NIU Police Department building).
