Network password
Your initial network password is temporary. Change it to a permanent one at password.niu.edu. If you get Page Not Found, clear your browser's cache. How to Clear Your Browser's Cache
Student passwords expire every 365 days. Faculty/staff passwords expire every 130 days.
Passwords are used by students, faculty and staff to access NIU resources:
- E-mail for students and faculty/staff
- MyNIU
- Blackboard
- computer labs
- Novell servers and drives (for example, the H: drive)
- WebCRMA
- dialing in to NIU's Internet service from off campus
- FTP access to Novell user volumes

Voice Mail Password
Voice mail passwords do not expire.
