You are assigned an AccountID when you are hired. It is permanent.

Password

All employees are given an initial password that allows only 3 logins.  Go to password.niu.edu and change your password before your initial password expires.

Your initial password is your date of birth in YYYYMmmDD format. 

• Mmm is the first 3 characters of the Month.
• Example: January 1, 1993 = 1993Jan01

See your initial password. 

You can change your password at any time at password.niu.edu.
Note: Your password expires every 130 days.
