Lina Davide-Ong, director, provides leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of international training at NIU; oversees the design and implementation of training programs; develops and maintains collaborative linkages with academic units and faculty members to initiate and design international training courses; seeks out external grant opportunities for ITO and NIU; writes proposals to bid for project-related training from external funding organizations; assists in the programming efforts designed to foster the internationalization of NIU.

Leslie Shive is the program coordinator in the International Training Office. She is responsible for arranging housing, meals, transportation, site visits and other logistical details for ITO programs. In addition, she has been the host family coordinator for the Philippine Youth Leadership Program, years 2-12, the Southeast Asia Youth Leadership Programs 1-6, Indonesia Future Leaders Program, Chinese/American one day interactions, and homestays for ELS Language Center students. Leslie and her husband Brad have hosted over 40 international participants through these programs.

Dr. Srie Ramli is a training specialist in the International Training Office at NIU. She received her doctorate in political science in 2013 with areas of concentration in comparative politics and international relations. Dr. Ramli is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating a wide variety of training activities. She is involved in consultative work, identifying and communicating training needs and preparations with international counterparts/clients which may include the promotion and coordination of training programs. She prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. reports, letters, thank-you notes) for various purposes, including documenting activities and/or conveying information. She develops, organizes and conducts online surveys to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the training programs.
