Research Interests: Healthcare Systems Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Concurrent Engineering & Management, Project Team Management, Production Systems.

Research Projects:

Dr. Chen has been working on funded research in healthcare systems, which aim at analyzing and improving hospital’s medication delivery performance. He has been leading ISYE students in research projects including Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, Kishwaukee Community Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital, Morrison Community Hospital, and FHN.
