Student Subgroups
You can review how each student subgroup in a school or district is performing by clicking on "Performance by Student Subgroups" when viewing Test Results. No Child Left Behind requires that nine sub-groups of students must meet or exceed the state targets each year. Subgroups of 40 or more count for AYP. To ensure confidentiality in reporting, subgroups of less than 10 are not reported. The subgroups are as follows:
- Aggregate for the school as a whole
- White
- Black
- Hispanic
- Asian/Pacific Islander
- Native American
- LEP - Limited English Proficient
- Students with Disabilities
- Economically Disadvantaged (also described as Low Income on the Interactive Illinois Report Card)
Disaggregated scores by gender are also available in the IIRC.
