New Year, New Beginnings
The new year brings some new beginnings for ICEE and its
friends. A new Center for Economic Education opened at Dominican
University; Friend of the Council, former Chicago City Treasurer
Judith Rice, has begun a new role.
The Stock
Market Game New Award, Programs
New funding for The Stock Market Game
has provided a new statewide award and several new pull-out
programs and competitions.
Financial
Fitness for Kids
Financial Fitness for Kids continues to expand. In its second
year, participation has doubled. Teachers of Kindergarten,
first, third and fourth grades are involved.
Chicago
City Treasurer Partners with ICEE
New Chicago City Treasurer Stephanie Neely is continuing
and expanding the strong support of her office for ICEE's
financial literacy initiatives.
