Recipes for Success
Finding ourselves in a new calendar year, many of us have great
ambitions and “resolutions” to make the future better
than the past. But, reality often sets in and time goes by with
little change. Did you vow to “cook up” new ideas
or try new programs to enhance your classroom teaching this year?
How about letting ICEE help!
The Illinois Council on Economic Education can help you achieve
change and enhance your classroom learning environment with easy-to-use
curriculum materials, outstanding professional development programs,
and free curriculum consulting.
So, now is the time – stir up some excitement in your classes
with an “ounce of economics” and a “pinch of
personal finance.” Let ICEE provide the recipe for your
success! Watch our web site (www.econed-il.org) for our menu of
new curriculum materials, teacher workshops and courses - all
designed to “spice up” the learning experience for
students of all ages (K-12) and in all classes.
ICEE Transitions
We are pleased to welcome two new staff members to the Illinois
Council on Economic Education (ICEE) “family.” Kathy
Catalano joined us December 1 as a part-time accountant. Kathy
is handling all of the bookkeeping for the Council, and brings
excellent accounting knowledge and skills to our office. This
is a new position at ICEE.
Patricia (Tricia) Maxwell is the newest member of the ICEE staff,
starting work January 17 as the new Development Officer. Tricia
has extensive experience in fund raising, including annual campaigns
and fund-raising events. This is also a new position at ICEE,
replacing the Community Affairs Specialist position formerly held
by Lorna (Dennie) Stanciu, who retired at the end of October.
Welcome, Kathy and Tricia!
