ICEE recognizes the 2007 winners of the 3M Educator Awards at the annual Economic Education Awareness Day luncheon in Chicago.

Spring 2007

ICEE Trustee Martin Cabrera has increased his funding of the SMG program to make it available to all Illinois schools at no cost!

Winter 2007

Students from the School of Entrepreneurship are heading to Springfield to receive special recognition as winners of the first The Stock Market Game Illinois Capitol Challenge.

Fall 2006

Three student winners from the Fall 2005 Stock Market Game competition helped Chicago City Treasurer Judy Rice ring in the new SMG year by ringing the closing bell at the Chicago Stock Exchange on September 14.

Spring 2006

Tammi Conn, Business Education teacher at Kaneland High School, took a first-hand look at the economy, culture, history, and educational systems of Romania. As one of 12 U.S. teachers selected to participate in the National Council on Economic Education Study Tour in December 2005, she learned about how economic education is being delivered there.

Fall 2005

Five Illinois teachers are recognized on October 25th for their outstanding work in teaching economics to our youth. Winners of the Council's 3M Economic Educator Awards are highlighted at the annual Economic Education Day Awards Luncheon at the Union League Club of Chicago.

Spring 2005

Students in Illinois and in Romania are busy learning economics by cooperatively studying issues in each of these countries. Through the International Classroom Partnership program, four Illinois schools are paired with four schools in Romania for a year of cooperative learning activities and study tour exchanges.
