GEF Mini Grants – Now Available!

ICEE has a limited number of Global Economics and Finance Mini-Grants available.  In the past, these grants were only available to schools that are part of the former Illinois Global Economics & Finance High Schools (IGEFHS) Program.  As of the 2006-2007 academic year, any Illinois school committed to the integration of economics with a global perspective may apply.  Read more about the Global Economics and Finance Mini-Grants, and apply today!

Child World Conference at MCC scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2006- Register Today!

The 18th Annual Practical Ideas for the Child’s World Conference scheduled to take place at McHenry County College will feature a keynote speaker, exhibits, and a series of workshops.   ICEE staff will present a session called From Dinosaurs to Tea Sets- Decisions All Around that features favorite children’s stories to teach real-life, decision –making skills.  For more information on the Child’s World Conference contact Molly Walsh at MCC at (815)455-8697.

Economics Challenge

Illinois Economics Challenge - Save the Date!  The 2007 Illinois Economics Challenge is scheduled to take place at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago on Friday, April 13, 2007. Changes for 2007 include return to a “Quiz Bowl” format for the final rounds of competition.

Midwest Economics Challenge - Save the Date!  The 2007 Midwest Regional Economics Challenge is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 23, 2007; the 2007 Regional is tentatively scheduled to take place at the Union League Club of Chicago. Illinois winning teams will join winning teams from numerous mid-western states for a regional competition.
