Personal Finance Challenge Awards

All schools in the state who participate in the online round of competition receive a certificate of recognition.

Middle School: Top-scoring teams for the middle school competition receive medals.

High School: Members of the First Place team and the Second Place team at the state competition and each teacher-sponsor receive prizes, medals, and a trophy for the school. Every participant in the state finals receives a certificate of participation. Each participating school in the state finals receives a framed and matted certificate noting their participation in the finals.

The First Place team qualifies to compete in the National Personal Finance Challenge competition.  Members of the National Championship team and their teacher-sponsor receive awards.


The Illinois Personal Finance Challenge (IPFC) is a program of Econ Illinois receiving support from BMO Harris with in-kind support provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. IPFC is endorsed by Illinois State Treasurer Michael W. Frerichs and the STEM Finance Learning Exchange.
