Community
The network of the Illinois Council on Economic Education, although focused specifically on helping K-12 teachers incorporate economics and personal finance into their curriculum, offers a variety of programs for the non-school community. These programs are extensions of K-12 programs, and are often initiated by special funding or grants.
Community programs offer the opportunity for adult education or involvement by those interested in economic education and financial literacy, but outside the teaching environment.
