The drawings of state winners can be used as examples of concepts. Because originality is a big factor in judging, we do not advise your students to copy the idea you show them.
In selecting the twelve state winners, judges attempt to reach a balanced representation of the numerous regional competitions as well as grade levels. Two drawings from each concept are chosen in determining the twelve state winners. Any number of state honorable mention entries are selected at the discretion of the judges.
