Economic Concepts Poster Contest
2012 State Winners
Over 3,600 students from 56 schools drew entries for the 7 regional contests. Eighty-one teachers participated this year. At the conclusion of regional judging, each regional competition submitted their top 24 entries for judging at the state level. From these entries, 12 winners were selected, along with 48 honorable mention entries.
Pending funding, a 2013 12-month calendar of the twelve state winning drawings will be made available. Contact Econ Illinois for information about the calendars.
NIU Center for Economic Education recognizes regional winners
On May 15, an award reception was held for students receiving awards in the NIU Center for Economic Education's regional contest. Students, teachers and parents gathered at the NIU Naperville Campus to celebrate the achievements of more than twenty students and eight teachers.
