Economics Challenge Awards
All schools in the state who participate in the preliminary (online) round of competition receive a certificate of recognition.
Members of the first-place team and the second-place team at the state competition and both winning teacher-coaches, each receive prizes and medals. Both winning teams receive a trophy for their school.
All schools participating in the state finals receive a framed and matted certificate noting their participation in the finals.
The First Place team qualifies for participation in the National Semi-finals competition (a proctored set of tests taken at their school). Four top-scoring national semi-finalist teams will qualify to advance to the National Economic Challenge Finals in New York City.
The Economics challenge is a program of Econ Illinois with in-kind support provided from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
