A former elementary classroom teacher, Ms. Dempsey has more than 30 years of experience in economic education, including program delivery and curriculum development.
As Econ Illinois President, Ms. Dempsey is responsible for the overall management of the Council, including Board development, fund raising, legislative relations, and programming. Ms. Dempsey is active in EconomicsInternational, and has lead study tours to Ukraine, Romania, and South Africa. She is active in the National Association of Economic Educators and is a past-President of NAEE.
