The 2012 American Dream Dinner featured Chicago Cubs’ Chairman Tom Ricketts who highlighted the importance of economic and financial literacy education for young students. Ricketts introduced his presentation with a rousing Chicago Cubs video and, following his speech, presented special Cubs prizes to three fifth grade students from Spring Brook Elementary School in Naperville who all won national recognition in The Stock Market Game™ InvestWrite essay contest.

The theme for the 2012 American Dream Dinner Event, The Art of Dollars and Sense, showcased Econ Illinois programs combining art and economics. Read about the Economics Poster Contest.
