3M Economic Educator Awards
The 3M Economic Educator Awards acknowledge teachers of grades K-12 for their creativity and commitment to the instruction of economics. Winners receive cash prizes and are honored at the Econ Illinois Economic Education Day Luncheon held at the Union League Club of Chicago in October.
The 3M Outstanding Economic Educator Award recognizes teachers who have a sustained history of commitment and contribution to economic education.
At the 2009 luncheon, Econ Illinois also presented the 3M Innovative Economic Educator Award, recognizing teachers who created and implemented innovative projects that increase economic understanding.
Additionally, select teachers who received program awards during the 2008-2009 school year were recognized as Stars in the Classroom. Click below for a list of 3M Economic Educator Awards winners.
