Leadership Academy

Encourage your students to enroll in the Leadership Academy today! The Leadership Academy is a three-tiered, self-paced leadership program (i.e., students can complete the activities as their schedule allows!)

Our goal is for your student to graduate from the Leadership Academy by the time they graduate from NIU. Through the Leadership Academy, students have the opportunity to join organizations, attend workshops, write reflections, become a mentor, and much more. The Leadership Academy is fun AND looks great on a resume! More specifically, joining the Leadership Academy can enhance students’ applications for Student Involvement & Leadership Development’s yearly Kevin D. Knight Leadership Awards (which include tuition waivers!) Students can fill out an application to join the Leadership Academy on the Leadership Academy website at www.leadershipacademy.niu.edu

This spring, SILD’s Leadership Academy is hosting another series of leadership workshops! In our fall semester, the Leadership Academy workshops were facilitated by a variety of knowledgeable staff members and saw an increased number of participants.Below are additional details for the spring Leadership Academy workshops. Please encourage your students to put these workshops in their planners so they are fully prepared for the spring semester!
