Job Description

Team members are responsible for providing a quality service to students by:

• Assisting lab users with access to files, systems, applications, and printing
• Making sure all equipment is functioning properly, performing minimal troubleshooting, and reporting problems promptly
• Maintaining a clean and orderly environment in which users can work
• Regularly visiting areas for which they are responsible:
  • ResTech computer labs
  • Northern View Community lab
  • Cyber Terminals
  • Smart Classrooms
• Communicating with ResTech staff (and class instructors in some labs)
• Assisting with other projects as assigned

Requirements

• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Basic knowledge of computers and technology
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Self-directed with excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must work minimum 6 hours per week
• Must be enrolled in minimum 6 credit hours as an NIU student

Starting Pay Rate

• $8.50 per hour
