How to Sign Up
Want to live in the LGBTQA Community? You can sign up by simply sending an email from your NIU student Z-ID email (email@example.com) to both firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com indicating that you are interested in living on this floor.
Once your email is received, the Faculty Advisor, Molly Holmes, will confirm with Housing and Residential Services that you are approved to live in the LGBTQA Community. Housing and Residential Services will then place you into the community.
This community is for anyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or as an ally. Those living here will have an opportunity to connect with campus resources and support, peers, faculty and staff. They will also interact with unique campus speakers and explore current events through an LGBTQA lens. Welcome home to a place where you can be yourself!

A Themed Learning Community is a group of two to four courses taken by the same set of approximately 25 students over the course of a semester. These courses are taught in a way that will allow you to explore a common theme across all of the courses in your TLC.
If you decide to join the LGBTQA Community, we think you'd be interested in these TLCs:
- Leadership & Service
- Psychology: Explorations of Perception
