Joshua JOHNSON

Joshua Johnson oversees the Marketing & Public Relations office and is responsible for a variety of areas involved with establishing the strategic marketing plan for Housing & Dining.

Prior to joining the team at NIU he served as a resident director at Binghamton University, a Merchandise Planner at Saks Incorporated, and a graduate hall director at The University of Alabama.

Joshua received a Master of Arts from Binghamton University in Student Affairs and Diversity, a Master of Arts from The University of Alabama in Marketing Analysis, and a bachelors degree from the University of South Alabama in Business Administration-Marketing.

James WINSTON

James Winston is the Marketing Office Graduate Assistant. He oversees the planning, pursuit, and execution of marketing and advertising endeavors. James leads the marketing student staff and coordinates their collaboration on different projects. James also received a BS in Information Technology from Arkansas Tech University, and is pursuing an MA in Communication - Media Studies.

Phyllis DUPRE

Phyllis Dupre is the Event & Marketing Coordinator. She organizes the NI GUIDE and Team NIU volunteers for Opening Day, Welcome Days, Open House tours and Huskie Spirit initiatives on campus (Spirit Week, Red and Black Fridays, Huskie Prize Patrol). Phyllis received a BS in secondary education from Mississippi State University, an MA in student personnel services from North Western State University in Lousiana, and has previously worked in residential life at Mississippi State, North Western State, San Jose State, and NIU.

Erin Scheiner

Erin Scheiner is the Housing & Dining Graphic Designer for print media and advertising. Among other applications, she is well versed in various styles of information design, desktop publishing, typography, and logo design. Erin is also pursuing a BFA in Visual Communications.

Dylan Phillips

Dylan Phillips is the Housing & Dining Webmaster and also designs some of the print media. Among other applications, he is well versed in various styles of information design, desktop publishing, typography, webdesign, and logo design. Dylan is currently pursuing a BFA in Visual Communication.

Miles PFEFFERLE

Miles Pfefferle is the department Photographer and associate Web designer. He also does some of the department's print design and oversees quality control for Channel 8. Miles is finishing a BA in Communication with an emphasis in Media Studies.

Kayla Kling

Kayla Kling is the copywriter and editor for the Housing & Dining marketing team. She uses her previous experiences in the residence halls as a Community Advisor and Residential Technology Laboratory Assistant to bring a fresh approach to writing copy for the team's latest marketing campaigns. She is currently pursuing a double major in journalism and Spanish and will graduate in May 2010.

Mitchell GADDIS

Mitchell Gaddis is the Video Project Assistant. He oversees the stages of production and directs various promotional videos for Housing & Dining, including Campus Living, sponsored by The NABJ and Northern Television Center. Mitch is also pursuing a BA in Journalism.

Megan ERDMANN

Megan Erdmann is a Graphic Designer for Marketing, specializing in print media. She also helps coordinate and train the NIGuides and Lead Guides for Move-In Day and Open House. Megan is also finishing a BFA in Visual Communications.
