Honors Peer Educator Program

If you are a junior or senior honors student interested in gaining valuable experience with educating and helping their peers, the Peer Educator program is for you! You will have the opportunity to assist professors in planning and teaching an honors course.

This position requires a commitment of five hours per week, totaling 80 hours for the semester. This requirement aligns with the Engage PLUS experience. Your hours can be completed inside or outside of the classroom. You are expected to meet with the professor at least once per week, attend all classes and arrive on time. You also must attend an orientation session before the course begins.

  • You must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA
  • Be in good standing with the Honors Program
  • This course must be in your major or minor

Selection will be based on an interview with the professor or the Honors director. Upon completion of the course, the professor will complete an evaluation and you will be awarded two Honors Engaged credits for that semester. If the evaluation is unsatisfactory, no credit will be given.

The application will launch in spring 2018.
