We are pleased to announce that the History Department has welcomed a new advisor, Mr. Frank Bell, to the History/Social Sciences Teacher Certification Program.
Frank comes to us with many years of experience in public education and administration, having served as a secondary teacher for 15 years and a school administrator for 18 years. He taught United States History, World History, and Special Education at both the high school and middle school levels. He was a Principal at the middle school level and an Assistant Superintendent of both Human Resources and Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout his career, Frank has been involved with evaluation of teacher credentials, recruitment and selection of teacher candidates, new employee orientation, evaluation, curriculum articulation, student assessment, grants, and staff development. Frank earned a BA in Secondary Education/Social Studies and a MA in Secondary Education/Social Studies and Educational Administration from the University of Illinois. He earned a MA in special education and an Ed.S in Educational Administration from NIU.
