Advanced Placement Programs

NIU’s history faculty have remained involved in secondary teaching curriculum development and instruction through their connections with the Advanced Placement (AP)/College Board program. 

Several faculty members in the fields of U.S. History, European History, and World/Global History serve the program as graders, course auditors, senior auditors, and throuhg other professional development programs such as the annual AP Conference, summer workshops on teaching, and working on cooperative publications. 

Several NIU History graduate students have also worked with the AP program as graders.

Faculty involved in the programs, and their areas of involvement, include:
