Kathryn Maley

Kate is the Program Advisor for the Secondary Teacher Certification program.  She earned her BA in History from Northern Illinois University in May 2003 and her MA in History in May 2008.  While completing her baccalaureate degree, Kate also earned her middle grades and secondary teaching certificate. For the past four years Kate has been teaching various education courses for Northern Illinois University including ILAS 201: The First Clinical Experience and History 400: The Student Teaching Experience.  Prior to coming to the university, Kate performed her student teaching at Kaneland High School in Maple Park and taught 7th grade social studies and government at Huntley Middle School in DeKalb.
