When I went to Moscow I worked harder than I ever had before.
The Moscow Art Theatre is one of the best places in the world to study method acting, and while I was there everything I learned at NIU was magnified. Intensified. I learned how to get inside of a character and connect with their emotions. I discovered how to find the character in myself.

That experience helped me grow, not just as an actor, but also as a person.

I gained a level of confidence that has made a huge difference in my career. But the foundation came from NIU. The professors are amazing and they gave me one-on-one attention that I don’t think you can find just anywhere unless you can afford to pay three times as much for your degree.

We went to class from 8 to 5, and then every night went to the theatre to see some of the best performers in the world on stage. NIU has a great reputation in the theatre community, and a lot of graduates out there pursuing successful careers. I’m really proud to be part of that group.
