Research Activities

  • Reconstructing the glacial history and climate change record from Quaternary terrestrial and marine sedimentary sequences. Collection and analysis of high-resolution seismic data from fjord and continental shelf sedimentary sequences; lithologic and sedimentologic analysis of marine sediment cores (A, B, C).
  • Modeling former ice sheets and fjord-outlet glaciers from seismic- and litho- stratigraphic studies (A, B, C).
  • Geomorphology and evolution of surface environments of the terrestrial planets.
  • Geologic history and evolution of Mars atmosphere.
  • Hydrogeologic studies of glacial deposits in the upper midwest and related environmental problems. Geomorphological process studies and terrain analysis using Digital Elevation Models (D).
