GEOG 202: World Regional (3)
This course focuses on distinctive landscapes and culture attributes of different world regions as well as the interconnectivity of world regions. This course begins with an introduction to basic geographic concepts, the changing pictures of world regions in a global context, and the foundations of world regions. Then it explores the major world regions through their physical and environmental attributes, their positions in the world-system, and their cultural, political, and economic characteristics.

The course will focus on data
analysis / visualization / algorithm development for geographic problems using Matlab, X3D, and Python. This course will count toward the GIS and GIA certificates, as well as toward the major in GEOG.
