Course Description

This course is designed to introduce you to the fundamental concepts and methods in transportation geography. Both conventional topics and contemporary issues in transport will be discussed. Topics include transportation and spatial structure (organization), network analysis, spatial interaction modeling, urban transportation, logistics, and transportation planning. Throughout the course, the emphasis will be placed on developing your understanding of the nature, function of transportation systems and on developing your basic skills of transportation analysis and modeling.
