Interning with the Office of General Counsel

You are first a student. A valuable part of that learning will be this special opportunity. You don’t just have tuition waived, earn a stipend, and have summer employment, you will also add actual professional law practice experience to your resume to enhance your career success. As an essential member of our legal team you shall not only increase legal knowledge but also develop practical skills by dealing with the multi-faceted real-world legal questions; Mentoring experiences may include feedback on practicing essential “soft skills” of customer service coworker relations, participating on governance issues / attending Trustee meetings, bar association meetings, visits, staff and law clerk meetings. Developing discipline — in honoring schedules and meeting project deadlines develop confidence and create your work-ethic. We will also assist with resume critiques, providing work recommendations and offering constructive feedback.
