Professional Background

Eric is a Northern Illinois University alumnus and currently a second year law student at Northern Illinois University College of Law. Before attending law school, Eric worked as an office manager at a law firm in his hometown of Freeport, Illinois. As a law student, he currently serves as the Graduate Student Representative on the Northern Illinois University Academic Planning Council. He is also a member of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and an active member of the NIU Juvenile Interest Law Society (JILS). Last semester, as a JILS member, Eric spent time teaching constitutional law to social studies classes at DeKalb High School. Prior to joining the General Counsel’s Office Eric worked as a research assistant for Labor Law Professor Michael Oswalt and as Judicial Extern for federal Magistrate Judge P.  Michael Mahoney.
