Hello. I came to NIU in 1999. In 2005, I was granted tenure and promotion. I am now Associate Professor. I received my PhD in Spanish from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, in 1998. I received my BA from Florida International University. My main research interests are in Spanish literature from the early Franco's period (1939-1945)/Spanish authors Camilo J. Cela and Ramón J. Sender/Cuban gay and elitist authors (XIX and XX centuries). Before coming to NIU, I taught for a year at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
