Instructed Second Language Acquisition Lab (ISLA)

The Instructed Second Language Acquisition Lab (ISLA) conducts research on language acquisition topics. Current projects include short-term study abroad, measuring L2 vocabulary and artificial mini-language fluency. We typically have openings for around 1-4 undergraduate research assistants per year, depending on current projects. Past research assistants have presented at the Undergraduate Research and Artistry Day. Karen Lichtman and Mandy Faretta-Stutenberg serve as faculty mentors.
