Are you ready to unlock the potential of your teaching philosophy? We know that there are many different ways to teach, and there is no "right" or "best" way for every student, discipline, or faculty. However, a successful teaching model is one that addresses your learning objectives, supports students, and reflects your teaching philosophy.

In this session, we will build on your philosophy of teaching and help you to determine teaching practices that best align with it. You will be introduced to concrete applications based on real-world examples and take practical steps to make your ideals a reality. Attendance at the morning session is encouraged but not required.

This institute will take place completely online! You can participate from the comfort and convenience of your own home, office, or other location. All that is needed to participate is a computer and an Internet connection. Complete details for participating online will be provided to registered participants three days before the institute. Registration Information

This institute is open to NIU faculty, instructors, teaching assistants, and SPS and Civil Services staff. Registered participants will receive workshop materials and a certificate of participation. Please register by the deadline. After you register, if you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration by Monday, January 5, 2016 at facdev.niu.edu/myprograms so that those on the waiting list may be given the opportunity to attend the institute or program costs can be reduced.
