Viola, Piano - Apprentice 1
Claire Wright is a native of Aurora, Illinois. She is currently an undergraduate viola performance major studying under Anthony Devroye at Northern Illinois University.
Claire has been Suzuki trained since age five through the Wheaton College CSA program under Lisa Hirschmugl, as well as growing up attending the Blue Lake Suzuki camp. She also has studied Suzuki training under Ann Montzka Smelser at NIU.
Claire has been involved in several orchestras, including Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra, Bel Canto Sinfonetta, Wheaton Symphony Pops, and most recently the NIU Philharmonic and the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra. Claire is also involved in chamber music at NIU, as well as having attended several camps for chamber music such as Wintergreen summer music festival and Credo summer music festival.
Claire hopes to provide a good environment for growth in students, so that they might develop a love for music that can enhance their lives and others.
