CSA CHILDREN'S CHOIR 

  • 15 Wednesdays, 4:45 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Room 171, Music Building 
  • Rehearsal schedule:  January 29 - May 14, no rehearsal on March 12.  
  • Concert schedule:  May 14, 7 p.m. Recital Hall. 
  • On concert nights, the parking sign in the lot south of the Music Building (Lot 3) will be adjusted to allow free parking without a pass.
  • A placement audition is required for all new and returning choir members. The date is January 22 beginning at 4:45 p.m.  Call (815) 753-1450 for a time assignment.

  • NEA activities for the choir:  April 4, 6-8 p.m.--Open rehearsal with Nick Page.  April 5, 10 a.m.-12 noon--Sing with Nick Page during a teachers' workshop.  April 5, 1:30 - 3 p.m.--Join other choirs at the Community Sing.

Learn to sing and develop musical skills by studying and performing high quality choral music of different genres. Challenging and varied repertoire from all over the world inspires students who love to sing.  Rehearsals are high energy and fast paced. The choir serves as an extension to area choral programs, fostering a high level of musical and personal achievement through the choral music experience. A placement auditions is required for all and begin at 4:45 p.m. on January 22. Call the office for a timeslot.

NEA Grant 
An application has been submitted to the National Endowment for the Arts to fund a community sing and teachers' workshop with Nick Page in April 2014.  Details will be made available in fall after the grant awards are announced. Learn more about the NEA grant.
